Opportunities
Volunteers are encouraged to donate
their time and skills. The Center offers a variety of duties and a flexible
schedule.
Examples of volunteer activities
include: providing transportation, answering the telephone, filing, typing, bulk
mailings, and assisting with independent living skills training. For volunteer
opportunity information, contact our Program Service Director.

help make a better world through improved accessibility for all.
Make your home, business or place
of employment accessible. The Blue Ridge Independent Living Center will show you
how.
Inform businesses that they can
receive a professional facility survey that will show how they can make their
facilities accessible to people with disabilities.
Remind business leaders they must
comply with the “ Americans with Disabilities Act” (Public Law 101-336) may
receive tax credit for making their facilities accessible.
